Natural Gas Rates

The Village provides natural gas service to customers within the system.

Gas rates may change from month to month because the Village purchases natural gas from a wholesale supplier. The cost of natural gas on the wholesale market fluctuates based on supply and the market coditions, and these changes are reflected in the monthly gas rate. 

Customers are billed based on:

• The monthly cost of natural gas purcahsed by the Village, and

• The amount of natural gas used, as measured by the customer’s meter.

The current gas rate is shown on each customer’s monthly utility bill.

• Customers can view the current gas rate on their monthly utility bill. 

• Rates are established by the Village and reviewed periodically to ensure the cost of operating the gas system is covered.
